Graduation Requirements:

Washington State

Students should keep track of how many credits they need in each subject area.

Class of 2020-2018

 

Requirements Class of 2021 and Beyond:

  • Earn 24.0 high school credits.
  • All students are required to complete 40 hours of community service prior to graduation
  • Complete a High School and Beyond Plan that covers all four years of high school and one year following graduation
  • Complete a Senior presentation regarding their beyond High School plan research and actions taken as well as personal budget and resume
  • Meet standard on Required State Assessments

Office of Superintendent Public Instruction (OSPI):
Public school students in Washington state must fulfill four graduation requirements to earn a certificate of academic achievement (CAA)/high school diploma. One of those requirements is to pass exit exams, or state-approved alternatives, in English language arts (ELA) and math.

Participation in Commencement
In order to participate in Granite Falls High School graduation exercise, students must have completed all GFHS and State of Washington diploma requirements. It is understood that the final responsibility for the credit and course requirement for graduation rests with the student and parent. The administration, counselors, and advisors are ready to assist any student or parent at any time regarding their status as far as meeting requirements for graduation.
